At Centerspace, our goal is to help you reach your full physical potential—the benefits of which will impact every facet of your life. You'll move toward this potential through a combination of the most powerful methods for building strength, flexibility, balance, and energy. You'll learn to focus on your "core" to develop stability, body awareness, and a sense of well-being; and on effective breathing to improve endurance and overall physical health. You'll learn how to undo the effects of years of stress and poor habits and how to redo yourself from the inside out. And you'll feel that difference not only within your body, but within your mind and spirit as well.

Centerspace is conveniently located in a beautiful, urban environment, just a few blocks from both Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet. (Perfect for a walk or jog after class!) Our staff can help you tailor a program that fits both your goals and your schedule. Small class sizes and personal attention from nationally certified instructors ensure that you'll get the most out of every visit and acquire valuable skills you can take with you. The studio is fully equipped with the latest in Peak Pilates equipment. We also have a personal training gym that includes cardio and strength conditioning equipment as well as showering and changing facilities.

Discover a new way of being in your body. Developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1930's, this dynamic method will teach you to tap into the power of you "core". These innermost abdominal, inner-thigh and back muscles create balance and support for improved posture and a sense of well being. Pilates also focuses on correct breathing and works to stretch the body as you build strength.

Pilates has been used by athletes and dancers for years for both body conditioning and rehabilitation, and is used by physical therapists to treat muscle imbalances and injuries. It is especially good for reducing the effects of compressive sports such as running and aerobics.
